Why this blog?

I like the internet and it's opportunities. I am a continous online shopper, read more than daily online newspapers, wikipedia, google, ebay are part of my working and private life. I do not know where to write postal addresses onto snail mail covers but manage several email addresses.

Still, I am not an active part of the web. Just consuming. No creating or writing content.

Until now.

So what is driving me to be part of the active community?

For good reasons I move from Germany to Poland. I canceled my flat in Germany, sell or give away the things I (believe! I) do not need. I am leaving good friends here in Frankfurt to go to Wroclaw.

Of course this is exciting and challenging. My Polish is not that well-polished, hundreds of things not clear, unknown future working-wise.

And I do not want to loose contact to friends.

So my Polish girl friend (the best reason to move!) told me: "Zacznij pisac bloga!" Well, honestly, first I was astonished she had the idea writing a blog (and not me) and does know about blogs at all. As ususal, I underestimated her!

So, here we go. A blog to tell you my thoughts and experience to start life in Poland.

I think I will write in English, Polish and German. Obviously the Polish communitiy will enjoy most due to grammatical mistakes.
